On Oct. 18, 2013, Prof. Hongda Cheng，dean of School of Engineering, University of Mississippi, paid a visit to our faculty and gave a lecture on the topic of “Ground Modeling” at the 3rd reporting hall of our conference center. Prof. Jiangfei Lu hosted the lecture. Prof. RongguiLiu and many teachers and graduate students of our faculty heard this lecture.

Before the lecture, Prof. Jianfei Lu gave a brief introduction about Prof. Hongda Cheng. The lecture began with the simple description about groundwater. Then Prof. Cheng gave a detailed explanation to his current research projects. At last, Prof. Cheng introduced several principal models which are used by the U.S.government.
