On Mar 5th,2013, Prof. Fuh-Gwo Yuan from North Carolina State University gave a lecture namedStrcuture Health Survey in order to improve teaching skills and techniques inan international contest and diversity and knowledge structures of bothteachers and students in Room 1F302.More than 60 faculty staff and postgraduates from Faculty of Civil Engineeringand Mechanics and other colleges took part in this lecture.

Prof. Fuh-Gwo Yuandrew upon the rich experience of teaching and research from home and abroad andincorporated classic mechanics into modern mechanics so as to introduce the newresearch fields of mechanics and civil engineering. Smart materials and piezoelectricmaterials were illustrated as well as teaching methods and techniques offoreign well-known universities during the lecture.

It was thoughtthat civil staff and students benefited a lot through the exchange. They canwiden their horizen and knowledge structure, which further creates aninternational atmosphere of the faculty and improves the work of internationlization.
