Inorder to meet the overseas students, guide them to adapt to life in China as soonas possible and clear own learning objective, Faculty of Civil Engineering andMechanics held a grand welcoming ceremony for them on December 7th, 2012 in the conference room 210.Professor Liu Ronggui , Professor Sun Baocang and Miss Tang-jing and alloverseas students attended the meeting. Ph.D Yin-jie presided over the meeting.

At thebeginning of the meeting, Ph.D Yin expressed the feelings of a warm welcome to theinternational students and introduced our college and courses setting to thestudents . Ph.D Yin's explanations were clear and detailed, and all the studentslistened carefully.

Afterthat, Pro. Liu expressed keen expectation to all students, he stressed, "youhave to clear your own learning purposes, continue to struggle for those goals,and I hope you can find your own learning methods, positive thinking, brave innovation,and strengthen exchanges with Chinese to gain more knowledge". His heuristicspeech attracted the scene of many classmates nodding in agreement, and roundsof applause.

Finally, all overseas students do simple self-introduction. In this harmonious atmosphere,ourmeeting ended. We sincerely hope that laughter will be with them and they canachieve their goals in Jiangsu University.
