Invited by Prof. Shicong Lin from Taipei University of Technology and Prof. Jian Lu from City University of Hong Kong, our Dean Prof. Ying Luo attended the Development of 21st Century Experimental Mechanics Discipline---Cross-Strait Symposium on Experimental Mechanics and Hong Kong---Mainland Symposium on Nanomechanics on Nov. 20-26, 2011 and Nov. 27-28, 2011 respectively.
The Fourth Development of 21st Century Experimental Mechanics Discipline---Cross-Strait Symposium on Experimental Mechanics was hosted by the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM) and sponsored by Taipei University of Technology, Tianjin University, and Tsinghua University. There are more than 42 famous scholars and experts in the field of experimental mechanics attended this symposium. Prof. Ying Luo gave a report named The Multi-physics Coupling Theory and Damage New NDT Technology. After the symposium, Prof. Ying Luo visited Taipei University of Technology, National Tsing Hua University and National Chunq Hsing Universiry.
The organizing committee of Hong Kong--Mainland Symposium on Nanomechanics invited many nano materials physicists/chemists/research scientists to participate in this symposium. They discussed the innovative research and development in the Nanomechanics. Prof. Ying Luo also visited the City University of Hong Kong and has a very deep impression on its conductive environment and facilities for scientific research, internationalization of teaching and research, and strong responsibility and devotion to work.
