On September 21st , Prof. Ding Hu from the School of Mechanics and Engineering Science of Shanghai University was invited to give a lecture for our faculty.

Dr. Ding Hu shared and exchanged views on the application of scientific research projects and the development of young teachers and students. On the topic of "Dynamic Design of Nonlinear Energy Sink", Dr. Ding Hu introduced the feasibility of nonlinear energy sink vibration suppression in detail combined with his own research experience in nonlinear dynamics and control. He analyzed and explained the origin and development of the nonlinear energy sink, the problem of vibration reduction in vertical direction of the nonlinear energy sink, the evaluation and design of the nonlinear energy sink, the design and improvement of the new nonlinear energy sink, and its application prospect in the field of engineering application.
